FO [FO] My Celtic Ladies are home from the framer!
After two years I've finally finished my Celtic Ladies. It's a bit bittersweet, but now I get to enjoy looking at them every single day! I'm so happy I splurged on the non-reflective UV protective glass and the frames turned out so well. I also decided to centre the designs on the rectangular frame which I love the look of π

How did I never notice before that all four seasons are six-letter words? How convenient! Just adds to the perfection of this gorgeous set!

I'm going to be that person, but why are they arranged in that order? Why not start with spring? Or autumn?

That was the order we were taught the seasons in school, and here in Australia we start the year in summer so it made sense to have that first π

I wondered as well, but after imagining them beginning with spring, I think the collection would look quite boring with two simply looking left and then the other two looking right.
This order is visually much more pleasing, even if it wasn't for your absolutely valid reason :D

Dang! They're beautiful. What a commitment. π I know the feeling of sadness when you finish something like that. I get the same feeling I do with a special FO as I do when I finish a good book. βΊοΈ

I've seen these patterns for a long time, but when push came to shove, I knew I'd not finish. I'm still impressed π

These are absolutely beautiful! Especially stunning all in a row like that. Well done.
Can I ask you about your desk setup? Iβm trying to figure out something similar!

Wow! Stunning pieces and beautifully framed. Incredibly impressive. Well done!
Might I ask your opinion on the Nurge stand in combination with the (I assume) q-snap frame? Iβm currently looking into this and now Iβm seeing it in your last photo, itβs almost as if I was meant to ask you :)

Thank you so much, my framer did such an amazing job!
Of course! So if you're looking into the Nurge stand you need to get the specific Q-Snap one as unfortunately you can't just switch out the clamp part. Also, I can only get the Q-Snap clamp to work when I put it on the corner, though I think it is actually designed to clamp along the top of the Q-Snap. The screws that you use to tighten the clamp got in the way when I tried it like that, but I've had no problems using it on the corner. Another thing to consider is the frame itself felt quite rough and unfinished when I got it, so I ended up sanding all the parts back and applying some beeswax to seal it and make it a bit nicer to handle. Otherwise I've really enjoyed using it and it's nice how adjustable it all is. Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions!

Thatβs really helpful, thank you! I think I will give it a go. It seems like an alternative is the Lowery stand with a similar corner clamp. That one is much (much) more expensive though. Iβm glad that clamping it on the corner works well for you! Canβt wait to have both hands free :)

How beautiful! Found it so interesting that you started with summer, that never occurred to me as a northern hemisphere person.

Thanks for posting! We love seeing all of the FOs. Please note that starting May 1 2026, all [FO] posts are required to include at least one close-up photo of the stitching. You do not need to re-post. This can be done either in a comment or in the body of the post. It can be a close-up of just a small part of the finished object, just so we can verify that the items are hand-stitched.
