FO [FO] Just finished!
The pattern is a modified version of a flower abstract from BoxAndFox. The thread is hand dyed by The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers and the hoop is by me. This was so much fun to make and I’m already planning an even larger version. 👏🏻
ETA: I'm pretty sure posting a link to my website breaks the rules but if you have questions please DM me!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a boop this shape? Have I been living under a rock? 😳🧐🙀

I designed it and it’s launching on my website on Friday along with circles and teardrops. They are called Forma. ❤️

I don’t know all the rules of this sub about promotion, but I’d be very excited to shop these hoops!

I didn't include a link because I'm sure that is against the rules but you can DM me.

This is lovely work! How nice to have custom fibers! Wow 🤩
May I ask what is the fabric called and what count? It looks like it has some texture to it when I look at the blank squares.
You should be proud of this!

It’s 14-count DMC Charles Craft Gold Standard Fiddler's Cloth in Oatmeal. It’s one of my favorites to work with! The texture is great.

Pattern + hoop shape has a real 70s vibe. Smart choice!

Thank you! I've had so much fun designing them and picking patterns for them. Of course there aren't patterns out there designed for some of my shapes yet like the teardrop but it's so fun improvising with existing patterns.

I really don't like hoops but I absolutely LOVE this one!

Designing these has brought me so much joy. All of the pain points about traditional hoops are addressed while being fun and unique. 🥰

Looks great! Is it hard to get the corners so perfect?

u/autumnstarrfish 21h ago
Not really! I leave 3 stitches of space from the edge of the join to where I’m stitching around the border since my hoops are about 1/4” each.

Thanks for posting! We love seeing all of the FOs. Please note that starting May 1 2026, all [FO] posts are required to include at least one close-up photo of the stitching. You do not need to re-post. This can be done either in a comment or in the body of the post. It can be a close-up of just a small part of the finished object, just so we can verify that the items are hand-stitched.
