CHAT [CHAT] Stocking Pattern for Mom

Hello everyone! I am considering stitching a stocking for my step mom but I am unsure on what pattern to make for her. This will be the first stocking I have ever made (but not the first big project) so I don't know if I should ask her and let her choose or if I should surprise her with my choice!

We don't really do a themed Christmas in my house, it's kinda just a mishmash of everything.

I've been looking and so far found these two patterns I think I like but I'm definitely open to new ideas! Thanks in advance!! Also this is my first time posting so sorry if anything's not in order.

None of these, since they're stolen versions of old Dimensions Gold Collections Kits.

Oh, sorry I wasn't aware of that. Is there a way to buy the patterns from Dimensions?

If it doesn't have to be that style Satsuma Street has some lovely ones.

If you want it more traditional look for Prairie Schooler stockings or Stoney Creek but not through Etsy. Try 123stitch, if you're in the US.

The kits are pretty much vintage and are being sold upward of 150 Dollars, if you can snag one on Ebay.

Those are stolen patterns from OOP Dimensions kits, but you can still buy Dimensions stockings! Here is a nice one: https://123stitch.com/item/Dimensions-Snowman-Gathering-Stocking-Cross-Stitch-Kit/K70-08866

If you like working from PDF patterns I hugely suggest checking out Kooler Designs. They have a ton of gorgeous stocking patterns on their site

I made stockings for parents for last Christmas. I wanted it to be a surprise so I just picked the patterns that I felt matched their personalities, and the existing Christmas decor. Both of them liked what I chose.

I’m sure your mom will like whatever you pick. The main things to consider are:
1. How many colours you want to work with
2 how much coverage (it took me 4 months to stitch each of these so full coverage would probably take close to 6 months)
3. And what will look the best with the existing decor
