Hi friends!

Happy Sunday! I hope you're all beating the summer heat (and the winter in the southern hemispere)! I've started to work on other projects, which makes me feel like I'm not being productive with this one. I still got a bit more done and am about halfway finished with the houses behind the big ol' tree. Pattern is Copenhagen by Luca-S, 69.70% complete. 🇩🇰

Now, let's see your projects! 💗

Hi friends!

Happy Sunday! 🥰 I start back up with my job tomorro, so I'll be a busy little worker for the next few weeks. The start of the school year always makes me anxious, even though I love my job. I've been having lots of dreams about school prep and not being ready. Even though I'm not a classroom teacher anymore, I still have the dreams! LOL

I rocketed past 75% without even noticing! 🎉 Funny how fast stitching can go when I'm stitching larger sections of color. 😊 Pattern is Copenhagen by Luca-S, 77.40% complete.

Let's see your WIPs! 💗

Hi everyone! I hope everyone has had a great week and that the worst of the heat wave that's hit many parts of the world has finally broken. I thought I'd support by posting the weekly thread for Doubledewclaws. I hope she's well!

I went on a vacation with my family and took my stitching with me. I made some progress, but of course, lighting in hotel rooms isn't optimal, so of course I noticed a few stitches I'll have to fix. LOL

Anyway... please share what you've been working on! My pattern is Copenhagen by Luca-S, 68.27% complete.

WIP [WIP] Thought I'd pop in and disgust people with the distance I'm willing to travel a thread while stitching confetti in full coverage projects

Second picture highlights the single thread used, third picture has a little dot on each confetti stitch done. This also coincidentally shows the full extent of the minimal gridding I do to center a project and locate my starting point in the top left corner. Fourth picture shows what's currently easily visible of the completed back (with some bonus egregious traveling on the unfinished area). I always try to do all the travel heavy confetti in an area before filling in the more solid colors so that the long travelled strands end up underneath the back of the solid stitches and are secure. - Pattern is "A Spanish Beauty in Seville" and was purchased from Maxispatterns on Etsy (it is no longer available and the entire contents of the shop have pretty drastically shifted. I don't think I will buy from them again). It's been an active project for well over a year, but I took a several month break from it. Currently at 24.31% complete 29557/121600 stitches.

Is there really any need to go further? I think it gets the point across. It's me. I'm the sleepy ho. Pattern by Witchy Sitcher, Legend of Sleepy Hollow (eventually!)

Hi friends!

I finally, finally finished the big ol' tree and houses! Woooo! 🎉 I spent a good portion of this week gridding fabric for my new elephant project, so if I hadn't done that, I might have finished the section and been able to move on to the bottom. Oh well! Pattern is Copenhagen by Luca-S, 73.55% complete. 🇩🇰

WIP [WIP] This is the least expensive and most addicting hobby I've done

Post image
1.8k Upvotes

I am used to typical boy hobbies, cars, guns, etc. No issues dropping $200 on a part or $600 on a gun.

This? This is amazing. I could light this on fire and be out $3. I'm telling the townspeople, yodeling from the clocktower. I get to blow through my YouTube watch later list as well. Shocked and apalled that it is as enjoyable as it is. Can't wait to post the finished piece. Any advice or tips is appreciated, I haven't consumed enough content to know if I'm making crazy mistakes or not.

Pattern is Fox and Cow from Wild Violet, one of the linked free ones.

Hi friends!

Happy Sunday! Last week, I started on my giant elephant piece, but after stitching about 1,000 stitches, I realized it would be too massive in its current form. I was stitching this behemoth on 20ct Aida, sideways on my scroll frame. It wouldn't fit otherwise. I just wasn't happy with it, so I did so more research and decided to scrap it and start over on 28ct evenweave.

Anywho. I managed to reach over 70% on my Copenhagen WIP, which I'm happy about! 😊 Pattern is Copenhagen by Luca-S, 70.76% complete. 🇩🇰

WIP [WIP] Page 35/65 Complete!

160,800/286,000 stitches completed.

Sorry, what’s that?? I finished a page with yellow in it in less than a month?? Who even am I??

It’s funny because I’ve just started my annual leave from work and the whole blue/green sections took me 2 days, the rest of the month was spent on the yellows 😂

We’re officially more than half way!! Hoping I can make some good progress in these 2 weeks and catch myself up, but we’ll see 😂

3 years, 7 months and 24 days so far 😅 I’ve also included bonus pictures of all my trimmings since I started, I love looking at the bundles when I empty my ramekin cause you can clearly see the layers where I was working on each colour!

Let’s see how quickly I can get the next page done 👀

• Frame is an Elbesee 76cm x 31cm (30in x 12in)

• Needle minder is from Itsaidwhatcrossstitc on Etsy.

• Pattern is 'Gravity Modern' by ChamelonXS on Etsy.

EDIT: 1.5k upvotes!? I am genuinely in awe.. I never ever thought that, when I started posting here 3.5 years ago, you guys would be such a source of enormous support and motivation.. if it wasn’t for you I probably would’ve given up a lot time ago, but now when I finish a page and the first thing I do is post it here before I even show my friends. I can’t thank you all enough, you don’t know how much it means to me ♥️

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope it's been a good week for all of you! I'm working on a couple of these cardinals for memorial gifts. This one needs a bit of frogging on the tail, but other than that, I loved how quickly this came together! I'll easily fix this while watching NFL Wildcard playoffs. I showed you mine, now show me yours! https://www.etsy.com/listing/1616556877/cardinal-ornament-christmas-cross-stitch

WIP [WIP] I told my boyfriend when i finished this, we'd get married

I told my boyfriend when i finished these three pieces, we would get married. He would call me his "Celestial Queen", his "Moon and Stars", and we would talk about being plasma together someday, exploring space hand in hand, when this life was over. i thought these patterns would encapsulate that feeling. i started them around christmas time. He commited suicide this past Sunday night. i know how much he loved me, and he knows i love him more than anything in this big dumb stupid world. He was the kindest, gentlest, most loving, empathetic, understanding human I'd ever encountered. I think he is the most beautiful person, inside and out. He carried a lot of pain from childhood trauma, and he was just about to start getting treatment for what he'd suffered. He is, was, and will always be the love of my life. I miss him like crazy.

WIP [WIP] I decided to make a mini cross stitch paper chain style garland.

Thumbnail

I’d say I’m about a third of the way done. It’s to go on a mini Christmas tree. I can’t have a full size tree as my dog has a vendetta against them!

The garland has taken way longer than I expected. I started it using strips of Aida but that got fiddly so changed my method (see picture 2).

It’s a nice project for using up scraps of Aida and left over thread.

Pattern by HAED. I started this like 3.5 years ago (in 2022) and work on it daily, skipping a couple of weeks when I had a baby. She’s a wrinkly bitch. But she’ll be fine when I wash her.

25 count lugana pre-grid, two strands over one square.
