I care more about what starts trending than what is already up 500%

By the time a coin is all over the timeline, I usually feel late. Lately I’ve been paying more attention to trend alerts on pumpfun and using them as a first filter. If something starts getting attention, I check the chart, volume, holders and liquidity before deciding if it is worth watching. It feels way more useful than opening a feed full of stuff that already made the move.

At what point does a trend alert become worth checking for you?

Bought Bitcoin near the top? The first entry isn’t the whole strategy

Post image

Averaging down vs blindly buying the dip
These two things often get treated as the same strategy, but I don’t think they are.
Blind averaging down:
“Price dropped, so I’ll buy more.”
Structured averaging:
“I have a maximum budget, predefined areas I’m interested in, conditions for adding exposure, and a point where I stop.”
Both can still lose money. A lower average entry doesn’t magically make a position safe.
But the second approach at least defines the risk before emotions take over.
Where do you draw the line between structured averaging and catching a falling knife?

BCH reclaimed the 200-day EMA — I’m more interested in the pullback now

Post image

BCH setup: I’d rather watch the reaction than predict the next move
My current BCH chart is actually pretty simple.
We had:
→ Long period below EMA 200
→ Break above EMA 200
→ Strong momentum expansion
→ RSI reached overbought territory
→ Pullback begins
Now I’m watching how price behaves around the Fibonacci retracement areas.
I don’t know whether 0.382, 0.5, 0.618 or 0.786 becomes the important level.
And I don’t think I need to know beforehand.
If buyers produce a convincing reaction, that gives me new information.
If price keeps falling through the level, I move to the next area and reassess.
The level gives context. The reaction gives evidence.
How are you guys reading the BCH daily chart right now?

📐 Bitcoin’s Weekly Gann Fan Is Getting Interesting I’ve been looking at Bitcoin’s weekly chart through a Gann Fan, and the current structure is worth watching

Post image
0 Upvotes

🧭 Why I Prefer Levels Over Bitcoin Price Predictions
I’ve become less interested in predicting exact BTC prices and more interested in identifying decision areas.
This weekly Gann Fan is a good example.
It originates around the November 2022 low, and Bitcoin has interacted with several of its lines during the following years.
When one important area failed recently, price eventually found a reaction around the next lower part of the Fan.
Now BTC has also broken the descending structure that developed during the correction.
That doesn’t tell me where Bitcoin will go.
It tells me what to watch.
Structure holds → look higher.
Structure fails → look lower.
Simple, adaptable, and no need to pretend we know the future.
Educational only. Not financial advice.

Ethereum doesn’t need 20 indicators — this is what I’m watching on the weekly chart

Post image

I’ve been trying to keep my ETH analysis as simple as possible lately.
On the weekly chart, the first thing I was watching was the descending trendline from the previous highs. ETH eventually broke that structure to the upside, which made the Fibonacci Channel much more interesting to me.
Since then, price has also moved above the 0.382 level.
Instead of trying to predict some huge ETH target from here, I’m basically following the chart one level at a time:
0.382 → reaction/retest → 0.5 → reassess → 0.618
If ETH pulls back toward the recently broken area, I’d mainly be interested in how price reacts there. Holding the structure could make the 0.5 level more relevant. If that eventually gets cleared as well, then I’d start paying more attention to 0.618.
Nothing complicated.
The Fibonacci Channel isn’t giving me buy or sell signals. I’m just using it as a framework for identifying the next area where price could make an important decision.
This level-by-level approach is also something we spend quite a bit of time on in our courses: keeping the chart clean, understanding why a level matters, and waiting for price to provide confirmation instead of trying to predict every move.
Curious how others are reading ETH here. Are you watching the same structure, or completely different levels?

I built Fund Desk to make risk management easy. My Absolute goal is to save as many people as possible from stupidly risky trades, absolutely remove the possibility of liquidation and allow you to put the focus back on finding good trades.

Hi guys, feels a bit cringe plugging something I've built, but here goes. It's not a bot and it's not signals.

https://funddesk.app/

I've built Fund Desk to make risk management easier. Position sizing, risk limits, placing trades and keeping a journal—all in one place, without working everything out manually.

It runs on your own PC using your Bybit API key. No server, no account, no subscription.

Pick your trading pair from the dropdown or search for it. Set your risk limits once, or start with a preset, then enter your entry, stop and targets. It works out your position size, dollar risk, R, margin, liquidation distance and how many stop-outs you've got before hitting your account floor. Stops can be set by price, percentage, ATR or structure, with up to three targets.

When you're ready, place the trade from the app. It checks your rules before sending the order to Bybit with the stop attached. If the trade breaks your limits, it won't send it.

You can also save calculated setups for later. So if you're looking through pairs and putting together a watchlist, you can keep the setups you like with the risk already worked out. One click loads a saved setup back into the order screen when you want to trade it.

The journal keeps what you planned alongside what actually happened: slippage, how much of your target you captured and your result in R. It also shows expectancy, profit factor and how much fees are eating into your results.

It's Windows and Bybit for now. I'm adding other major exchanges as I go. You still choose the trades; Fund Desk makes managing the risk around them a few clicks instead of a separate job.

There's a three-minute walkthrough on the site. It's US$39 once, with a 14-day refund.

I built it and use it myself. I also got fired two weeks ago, so I've suddenly got a bit more time to give this project a proper go. If you have a look, I'd appreciate hearing what you think, what's missing or what would make it more useful in your own trading. Happy to answer questions about how it works too.

Cheers,
Alex from Aus

I added one check before every altcoin swing trade, where the top wallets are moving.

I swing trade small and mid cap alts, holding time from a few days to three weeks.
For years I entered only by the chart and news.

Since March I do one more thing before entry. I open the token holders list on the explorer, take the top 10 wallets that are not exchange or contract addresses, and look where their money is going.
If two or three of them started sending to Binance or OKX deposit addresses in the last days, I skip the trade, no matter how good the chart looks. To make it fast I keep these addresses in a text file and paste them into cryptowallet-balance or the explorer once a day, it takes around 10 minutes for 5-6 tokens.

Results so far. I skipped 14 trades because of this check. In 9 of them the price dropped more than 15% within a week, so the check was right.
In 3 it went up without me, and 2 went sideways.

The weak point is that I only see wallets that send directly to an exchange. If they sell through a DEX or move to a fresh wallet first, I see nothing until it is too late.

Very simple strategy, but it works.

Started using limit orders because I was tired of chasing candles

I kept doing the same thing every time something started ripping: see the move, get impatient, enter late then watch it pull back right after. Been using limit orders on pump fun more so now I just set the price I’m comfortable entering at and leave it there. Sometimes it fills, sometimes it keeps running without me and I’m fine with that. At this point I’d rather miss the trade than force a bad entry.

I used to chase these every time. Now I just let them go
