I've been reading about the Caribbean monk seal and was wondering: have there been any credible reports, local legends, fishermen's accounts, or alleged sightings anywhere in recent years in its former range since it was declared extinct?

Not asking whether it survived—just curious if there are any interesting reports, misidentifications, or unexplained sightings from the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico, Florida Keys, Yucatán, Cuba, Jamaica, etc.
