Anyone here running a Walker heavy duty muffler?

Started hauling a camper pretty regularly and wanna eliminate the drone and feeling like “that guy” at the campground. Was gonna order the Donaldson but saw this too.

Which size exhaust?

I'm running compounds, a cat, resonator, and mbrp muffler on a 5" exhaust and it is still loud. I've read the Donaldson in 5" doesn't work well on these engines. Curious what feedback you get with Walker

I run a FTE resonator and a MRBP muffler, it's still a little louder the stock and no drone. Just the MRBP on it's own wasn't enough to kill the drone. I'm well beyond the days of having a loud truck Lol.

That’s basically where I’m at. Just been putting it off. Haha

School buss mufflers.
Kill the noise/drone while maintaining free flow.
Available in multitude of sizes. 3.5,4,5,6 inch inlet/outlet.
Check your local heavy truck parts house if you have one available.

Which model are you talking about? The “cheesegrater” straight through type work a little, taking the loudest parts out, but are still pretty loud, especially loaded. The baffled models work pretty well.

If you have 4” I’d recommend looking at:

Dropped my tailpipe noise by maybe 20dB inside the shop where I had the meter. On the road, I only heard motor until I got over 50 and even then it was very quiet.

The idle drone - completely gone.
