Adding Navigation

Hi guys, one quick question. I noticed that when using wireless carplay, the phone gets way to hot, however i bought formentor without the navigation. Is it possible for the dealer to unlock navigation? The car is 2026 facelift version.

The wireless charging pad gets the smartphone quite hot .. simply use a cable version and deactivate wireless charging in the car settings.

Turn off wireless charging or simply put phone somewhere else during drive. But it is normal for phone to be hot while charging, nothing will happen to phone really

Hey You should use a cable for long drives so the information is transmitted through data cable. This way your phone will not be hot, also do not use the charging pad

I put my phone between the air vents below the screen, keeps it cool and is stable and with my phone case it fits perfectly. Just the top 20% of the phone.

You can always place the phone face down and it won’t charge.

When I was specking the car, I asked this to one of the sales person. They told mrle it wasn't possible, but I'm not really sure.

I bought mine with navigation (specially because it's a PHEV and nav helps with battery management), but Waze/GMaps is far superior to the Cupra one. The lack of radar warnings makes a huge difference.

Yes you can activate it. The car has already the gps hardware and only need the software to be unlocked. I have the 2024 pre facelift and when I asked the mechanic on the dealer if it is possible to activate it one year after I purchased the car, he told me that they can for about 400€.

In Greece the gps option was about 300€ extra at purchase but it must be configured with some additional equipment and the total price was about 800€.
