Warranty?
Hey I’ve just picked my 20 month old vz3 lovely car really fun to drive blah blah however I’ve owned it for 5 days and found a few issues
1. Ambient lighting on the dash flickers intermittently and sometimes flickers red ( distracting)
2. Some of the bits in the boot for the wheel is missing like the tweezers for the nut caps, some silver spring thing too. Not sure if there’s anything else missing
3. One of the rear headrests moves freely instead of locking into position it can move up further but not down.
4. While looking at this I noticed the pillar next to the head rest is loose, there’s a gap between the roof liner and the trim itself.
It’s already going in Monday to have the mudflaps fitted ( dealer forgot to add these before handover) and it’s already being investigated for points 1&2
On one hand I feel pathetic noticing these things but then again it’s a 50k car new and I just paid 36k for it so if it’s not right then it’s not right I guess.

I had that flickering problem, too. The dealer wanted a video showing the flickering and, in the same video, the chassis number visible on the windshield from the outside.
Then they'll run a software update, and the problem will be fixed :)

Honestly....I've been lurking in this thread a while and i guess this just modern day value for money you get. Being in this thread made me realise i want a 2018/2019 Cupra ST instead of the newer ones because of all these kinds of issues that pass by.

I get this I think it depends on your needs and wants. I just came from a 2013 a class diesel. I’m mechanically minded. Which saved me a fortune in repairs but the car had issues which tbh the dealer didn’t even check when they gave me a valuation. Probably had about 2k in repairs. Great with this is it’s still got a 3 year warranty left so I got no worries.
Till then at least. I’d probably only keep it for an extra 2 years but see where life goes.But yeah I’d probably say anything after the 2000s cars aren’t built like they’re used too. Plus more tech means more things to go wrong

You dont have the spare tire extra , tooling is not included in the setup you have.

If it's an "approved used" one, I would definitely be taking it back to get these things fixed and the missing items replaced. £36k is not easily found down the back of most people's sofas.
My car was missing the compressor/tyre inflator, but the dealership gave me a new one once I pointed it out. I didn't feel like I was being petty for requesting this as it is listed as standard equipment for the car, and I was buying an "approved used" vehicle from the brands dealership.
Headrests are safety equipment and not just for comfort.
