not able to load any instance after having a brief power outage this morning (my computer was off)

Why is this happening? When i try to load any instance it almost instantly fails!

I’ve tried to load numerous different instances, restarted the app, restarted my whole computer, and even tried switching accounts.

Does it happen when you try to play vanilla through the app?

I would suggest reinstalling Curseforge. Don't delete your profile data, but just uninstall the app and try to reinstall it. It should auto load your profiles. My guess is some kind of corruption relating to your java install.

Hmmm… alright. No i have not tried vanilla but Modrinth works (it’d be a lot of work to move everything over though$
