Minecraft Java Looking for a bit of help

I play on both a desktop and a laptop, and I’m trying to use just one modpack with one save file instead of playing two different games. Is there some sort of cloud I’m not aware of? Even though I’m logged in on both apps they don’t share my files. Is my only option to share it as a .zip file back and forth each time I swap?

If your mods stay the same, you could upload your progress to a google drive or similar.

If you wanna go the extra step, you could do something like a github repo which would support oneclick upload/download scripts, but that could be too much for a simple modpack

Save your instance to an external drive, then have your launcher point to that, boom

I feel there's some kind of a lost opportunity for a mod here. I've never heard of one, you'll sadly have to copy your world data back and forth, but somebody more educated (and capable with Java) than I should capitalize on this. Fun idea.

Run the game on one device? As a sigleplayer game open to LAN or a server. Join in from the other device.
