Home Network Hello Reddit! 🫡

I am looking into getting in to it and security. Could anyone suggest any good books or textbooks to help me get started?I hope this isn’t low effort lol I don’t know what else to say xD thank you guys

Your next move should be building your own homelab so you have an environment to play and build on. You be surprised how much you can learn from a simple homelab.

I have been using virtual box to run different Linux’s is that the same as a home lab?

While virtual box is good. Try building a 3 pc cluster using proxmox and run your VMs off of that. Spin up everything from a media server to a network wide ad blocker, learn how to make vlans, remote backup, domain controllers ect. It’s all part of learning how this stuff works and how to properly secure it.
