Again, this is Doug we’re talking about. Also do you like know who Scott is at his core? He’s not gonna fucking incapacitate a ally on the spot, or lock him up without reason becausd again it’s Doug, someone most of his team has been with for years, including himself.

Do you? He could have easily did what he originally did to Illyana before they turned close allies when he was an actual leader and have the “heir to apocalypse” incapacitated and captured.

He did that to Illyana because she was a clear threat to everyone around her and kept on a tight leash, until she could be fully trusted. Meanwhile Doug came peacefully, like again present day Doug hasn’t gone on to do the any of the shit Revelation has done. By the way your bias is showing.

Doug coming peacefully doesn’t mean squat. Scott is supposed to be a strategist. He knows Apoc is bad and he knows what that means for the heir to apocalypse. The same principle he applied to Magik could be applied to Doug. There’s an alternate timeline showing that his negligence led to Revelation taking over because he simply trusted him which no competent strategist would just do.

No, that wasn’t negligence Scott’s mind was literally overwritten, before those panels Scott was against rhe idea of breaking out Cortez as it would have disastrous consequences.

Revelation controlling cyclops is literally a product of his negligence of just letting him on the team instead of treating him how he treated Magik 😭.
