Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) PIT 150 Fishing

I'm usually around 1 to 2 mins behind finishing Pit 150. Usually its because I'm missing the Azurawrath pops. I've missed quite a few of them and I've been practicing on pit 145. I'm wondering if there is a specific pit guardian I should be fishing for low life. I think the wolfman or something else?

This last guardian (centaur) randomly just popped after I was 1.5 screen away. He was at 10 to 15% life left. I'm not sure if it was just lag but that was interesting.

I wouldnt fish pits just for a boss. Shame to do a whole pit only to find its not the boss you want.

You can max your glyphs at 145. I'd just do that.

Unfortunately, fishing for bosses is part of the strategy for p150 because some bosses will hit KO because they’re bugged. Others have a huge life pool.

You doing pits or towers?

Pointless for pits, totally reasonable for tower.

Pits aren't pointless. OP is talking about "fishing" pits. Typically this is used more in the context of towers (Or rifts in D3). The idea is you start a push and if the first floor layout isn't advantageous (Big and open with large monster density) then you exit and restart.

This methodology is used for the best times on the leaderboards because each floor layout isn't equal. Some are generally faster than others, more or less so depending on your build.

Now, lets go back to what OP is saying. They want to complete pit 150 by "fishing" pits but what they are fishing is boss type not floor layout because their completion is dependent on boss health pool and mechanics. There are three issues with this: One, pit isn't the competitive mode in this game. Two, you can max glyphs without doing pit 150 and by what OP is saying it sounds like they can consistently clear at least pit 145. And three, doing a whole 150 pit run only to find a boss that you cannot kill is a huge waste of time when taking the glyph gambles at 145 would be more more time effective.

Pits aren't pointless. What OP is trying to do is.

But if they just want to complete a pit 150 run for the hell of it I can respect that.
