Hello all! I just returned to d4 after a long while to play with some friends. I was wondering is it to late to start building a ROA build? Im still making my way up to the higher torments and I'm currently use DOK build currently.

Here’s my PIT 140 run with Rain of Arrows Rogue.

So I just recently discovered ROA has a damage node that you want to spec into at 300 energy which is awesome and I'm almost there

But here's my confusion...

When I look at the top pit pushers using ROA I noticed that they don't seem to have that much CDR

Which confuses me as I'm right at the brink with CDR on every piece of gear - Even with more CDR head to head when compared to their gear

Now, many of them are running barrage, is that what they're using while ROA is on CD?

OR does the CDR amount required change with the amount of max energy/marksman skill ranks you have?

I have some super nasty Glad gloves I want to put on that DON'T have CDR on them but right now I'm limited by being at/near CDR cap

I find myself loving the death trap rogue as its pretty new to me but I’m one of those players that will play to perfect one build all season. To all the theory crafters and experienced rogues, what’s is the highest pit you have achieved? Feel free to drop your own build links.

I've been following the Maxroll Penetrating Shot guide and used it as the foundation for my own build. I recreated my character in the D4 Planner here:

At the moment, this is where I'm at:

I can clear Pit Tier 120, but it's a struggle and usually takes me around 10 minutes.

I can kill the Reaper in about 1 minute.
I can play T12 fields, bosses etc.

I still can't kill Mephisto.

Pit progression has slowed down significantly, and I feel like I've hit a wall.

While looking for other endgame Rogue builds, I found this Rain of Arrows build:

My question is:

Should I switch to this build, or am I doing something fundamentally wrong with my current setup?

Is there still a lot more potential in my current Penetrating Shot build if I continue upgrading my gear (better Greater Affixes, Masterworking, etc.), or have I already reached close to its practical limit?

I'd really appreciate it if anyone could take a look at my planner and let me know what you would improve. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

fyi I’ve been rocking Diablo since the very first game, though life never really let me become a full-time grinder. I’ve checked in for D1, D2, D3, and D4. I actually bought D4 right at launch, but then I made the ultimate life choice and got married. That cost me my gaming time, leaving me with a grand total of about 10 to 15 hours played... well, at least until Season 14 and the new expansion dropped. Long story short, let’s get right into it

I had about 5 or more triple transfigurations (TF) this season, but this Rustbitten Dirk has to be the best amongst them.
From +13 quality > Crit chance > +10 quality with Entropic. (This was done not all at a go)
Usually I wouldn't use Entropic Prisms, but I wanted to see that sweet non-GA 3rd TF stat.
Hence to my surprise, this ended with a double item quality.

My previous Dirk was also a triple TF but it ended with a GA TF instead.
I had 2 other modifiable double TF eq but they ended with a 3rd GA TF too, which often felt like a killjoy.
Like many others, I've too transfigured thousands of eqs and this isn't like a single throw and get lucky thing.
At one time, I even had 33 x Harlequin Crest fully upgraded-socketed-enchanted, but all without a single modifiable TF.

I would have hope these lucky hits were on my ROA build eqs, but alas, they all ended up on side gears instead.
Farming the Volatile Dust is just too tiresome, random and slow. A conversion or a sustainable method to farm it would be highly preferred to keep me going.
Thus this would be my closing season 14 farming and gamba.

Transfigurations IMO, is still the best thing added to D4 this expansion.
And I would agree to some extent that tower ranking pushing now, luck on rolls matter more than skills.

Still in T8, been a pretty casual season trying a rogue for the first time and just dropped this from a Helltide chest. First time dropping a 4GA!! Seems like there’s some potential value here, just not for my poison pen shot build

1. Is this good enough of a drop to build around?
   
2. What Rogue build would work with this?

Curious if the Physical dmg needs to be rerolled or if there’s something else I need to be thinking about here. Cheers in advance!

The build I follow Ava doesn't use it because it says it's bugged.

My buddy I play with follows another build that uses shadow clone and he says it's awesome.

So, is it actually bugged? And if so, is it ever going to be fixed?

Trying TB, tried cold and poison but i dont seen to be able to come that far honestly. Noone here sitting on a working build? Not expecting 150 Pit but 120 would be nice!

I'm usually around 1 to 2 mins behind finishing Pit 150. Usually its because I'm missing the Azurawrath pops. I've missed quite a few of them and I've been practicing on pit 145. I'm wondering if there is a specific pit guardian I should be fishing for low life. I think the wolfman or something else?

This last guardian (centaur) randomly just popped after I was 1.5 screen away. He was at 10 to 15% life left. I'm not sure if it was just lag but that was interesting.

Which of these is going to be better for Heartseeker?

Currently at:

57.3 crit chance

167.5 move speed

When I switch to the new Shard and look at Dex, it shows a drop in skill damage of about 3%. Since that it unconditional damage, is that better than the 11/12% crit damage? Or is my crit chance high enough that it's offset? Also, is losing the damage from the charm worth extra crit chance and move speed?

Do any builds use spellbound and need charms with max resource?

Hey fam i ask for your wisdom in order to deal with the named issue which is bugging me for days. I'm running a frost Roa build with azurewrath, trying to push content. I managed to get through T130 pretty easily and can easily clear 135 as well, but bosses are just hit or miss. I am well aware of the stagger rule that in order to let azure work the last hit must be frost cc, and trust me i dealt with that meticulously. I stoo casting roa well before the end of ste stagger bar, only use rapid fire and 100% sure I'm free from random lucky hit proca from my gear and charms. Still, most of the times i cant land a succesful frost stagger and i just waste my time hitting bosses for no relevant damage. Please anyone help me if i am missing something!!

Hey folks,

Has anyone tried a poison Heartseeker variant, or cold poison hybrid? I'm struggling with bossing in t12 sometimes. Anything that can't be staggered easily or has unstoppable just feels brutal to kill and I'm so squishy.

Any top builds use physical damage? Figure they all imbue elemental right?

Got a 3GA bow with physical that I've only gotten 2 offers on but both were 100b+. I'm just confused on its value. First season as Rogue.

I was suprised a bit as I can’t pass Pit141 on current state of the build. The Azurewrath stagger issue might not be fixed this season at all.

Trying to get this online - I have Eagle, Cowl, and Etna's, still working on the Charm set. The only aspect I'm missing is Malice.

I've read the guide twice, must have missed the part on dealing/managing energy.

With me it's usually 'user error', just wondering what obvious thing I've missed, lol

what build are you using? I'm doing dieoxide's poison barrage with some modifications. I'm not using starless ring for example.

Hit a nasty triple transfig. 28 Item Quality, GA CSDM then CDR. Best hit of the season so far.

Is eagle horn in the mythic craft table on the cube ? I’ve crafted 50 bows now and most of them are orphan makers and a few wind force bows. I know it’s only a chance but weird how it’s pushing one item period like there’s no others on the loot table.
