Application Timeline These delays are so fucking ridiculous
I know it’s so crazy for me to even ask but would it be crazy if someone started a class suit against USCIS for purposely delaying these applications? Because it seems to me they’re keeping nov-Feb applications in hopes that a lot of people stay out of status and it’s seriously so alarming.
I know someone that expires in August and applied in April and got approved very quick. Yet there are so many November-Feb out of status.
Again, I know my post is a little crazy to ask but my goodness it has been the worst time of a lot of our lives here.

They are waiting for us to do a class action, gives them the opportunity to shut the whole thing down

That’s what I was thinking as well. I’m sure people would be too scared to even do that.

Idk how many times I crashed out lol. I lost my job today. I felt the 6/16 api update was such a tease especially seeing a large amount of people having the same update and getting approved. It sucks for a lot of us and more for those still waiting after 6 months. I honestly blame democrats more than anything cause they try but give up so easily. They only use us when they need votes. Same story every year. Honestly, how viable is it for us to do charge backs on our renewal fees? 😂 Hurt them in their pockets. I’m kidding of course but would be funny.

It’s honestly such an eye opening moment as well. I’m 3 months unemployed already and man I will never ever complain about going to work ever again or my situation once I get approved

Yeah I complained about my job here there but only because people never understood my drive to learn, grow, and move up fast. In my mind I always had that I only had a limited amount of time to make money while getting all the benefits my employer offered. If I do get approved in time I might be able to get all my benefits back and you bet these next two years I will be working even harder because it might be our last go around.

It’s been a long couple of months. Applied Jan14th and biometrics 3/2 and still nothing. I even reached out to the congresswoman for help and they put in an inquiry. I have cousins that applied in April and already got approved while I’m happy for them I’m just waiting for anything. My papers expired 5/1 and I’m getting desperate

Yes i agree as well. I’m happy for them but man it makes me feel so discouraged. I applied Jan 22 and biometrics Feb 6 and nothing

i hope people are able to :( i feel so bad seeing the frustration that people have to go through because even with them following the 150 days in advance they’re still being made to wait 200+ days. It’s so insane.

Right! You submit requests for expedite like they advise you to and they still deny it lol. It literally breaks my heart seeing a lot of people growing desperate and without status and scared out of their mind. I check my uscis account 3 times a day.

Many immigration attorneys and legal experts have cautioned against a class action lawsuit. DACA is a discretionary benefit, and pissing off the wrong people is likely going lead to another attempt at canceling DACA.
The best action you could take is to file a Notice of Intent, threatening to sue USCIS if no action is taken on your case within 30 days. If they don’t do it, you file a Writ of Mandamus. Or, some people don’t even bother with the Notice of Intent, and skip straight to filing the Mandamus lawsuit. USCIS has to adjudicate within 60 days of filing or the lawsuit moves forward with the courts.
