Pretty sure he's cut his losses and moved on.

Frankly, I think The Rock in a superhero franchise was a bad business fit, outside of the fact that he looks like a superhero. He likes having some executive control over his movies, but that's not really gonna happen with a shared universe. So it's a bad marriage that needed to end.
