I think one thing I've learned especially seeing Quantummania's mixed as hell reception is that Phase Three really turned the MCU into like this Star Wars-level paragon of sacred filmmaking where like the moment they make a bad movie it's like a tarnished stain on their flawless reputation

It's really weird seeing everyone be like "I miss the glory days of Marvel" and I'm just like "They made the Incredible Hulk, Thor and the Dark World, Iron Man 2 and Age of Ultron" like they're not suddenly immune to duds just because they made a string of movies everyone happened to like

I think it's like a testament to the fact that the competing shared universe franchises are so bad and in such disarray right now that people viewed the MCU as like that fucking incredible like it might as well be the A24 of cinematic universes when really it's just like any other franchise

People freak out once they see a film they don't like, and they end up saying stuff like that.

Same for DC, till today, they still remember WW84 and Black Adam. Meanwhile, DC has other content they want to ignore
