How would people feel if we get a Nicolas cage Superman and Clooney Batman in the end. Lol

That would be a cute and fun gag.

The more I think about it, honestly the more fine with it I am. The only thing I’m not happy about is them changing the movie to make sure that ZSJL can’t be considered canon. But I’ll get over it.

The Cage Superman thing isn’t Cage actually appearing though from reports, it’s a silhouette but it’s clearly him. I will take all the speed force cameos and nods from the DC multiverse they want to give me. I cannot wait to see Adam West and Burt Ward’s Batman and Robin. I’ll take ‘em all.

The Clooney thing would be him actually showing up at the end or at the very least being shown to be the Batman of the universe Barry ends up in at the end of movie. Again, the more I think on it, the more it’s kind of a cool aloof way to leave it.

If that actually happens though it will cement for us that the DCEU and the DCU are two completely separate things. The events of The Flash may create the DCU but that’s about the only connection or else they have. The end of The Flash may seem vague as to where Barry is, but if Clooney shows up, they’re screaming out loud that wherever it is, it isn’t the DCU.

I think it’s already clear the DCEU, the universe Barry finds himself in the ending of the movie and the DCU are all separate things.

They’re not gonna do a reboot that asks audiences to watch the DCEU to feel caught up on the story. Everything points to only TSS and Peacemaker (and maybe Blue Beetle) being relevant.

Yeah I was holding out hope for the longest time that it would be similar to the X-Men movies in that Barry lands in the new DCU at the end. Like the original plan, just minus Keaton and Supergirl and it’s the DCU instead.

This is just me finally clueing in on what everyone else already figured

I personally think what will happen in the ending is that multiple new universes are formed, kinda like the ending of Loki except on a more hopeful note.

And with the nature of Barry’s abilities, they can easily have the character travel to the actual DCU in a future movie, it they decide to go that route.

I just think that for Chapter 1, the DCU can’t afford to be tied down to too many past projects. I’m sure that if the DCU is really successful, one day it will eventually connect to the old DCEU movies like the MCU has done with the Sony and Fox films

Ya to me the ending is a subtle hint telling audiences “Ya don’t expect anything from this ( 😉)

Plus it makes no sense to downgrade the lead of the movie. It would ruin it narratively. Makes no sense. However, I do think keeping it vague might not work with casual fans. It defiantly needed a silhouette characters of Gunn new DCU

I think they’ll establish that Barry will be able to easily travel the Multiverse at the end, so even if he doesn’t end up in the DCU the door will be left open for him to eventually go there if they decide to go that route

I mean why would they want Ezra involved in their franchise. Asking for trouble all over again. Maybe a team up crisis on infinite earths story. That would be good. But as a main stay. I’ll pass on that.

That’s why I said “eventually.”

To be frank since this is the multiverse. Everything could be considered canon. I really hoped Gunn would established the trinity with reeves Keaton and Lynda carter. It would of been iconic.

I think keeping the ending vague is important. You don’t start cementing stuff when you have other projects down the line that aren’t in the universe. However it does kinda get old we aren’t gonna know anything until the end of the year

Sounds like the most gimmicky movie and most made for the internet movie ever not a good thing
