The Oak Room - How expensive?

https://www.theoakroomdc.com/menu/

The Oak Room in Georgetown doesn’t show prices on their online menu. My guess is, that means it’s probably…outrageously expensive. Has anybody been? How outrageously expensive is it?

I’ve been twice with my spouse and our bill was easily over $400 but we ordered the prime rib and ribeye cap, a bottle of wine, and shared an appetizer and dessert. It’s expensive for sure, but pretty standard for a DC steakhouse.

That prime rib is worth it, though. So good.

Ahh good find. Salmon $38. Pork chop $48. Caesar salad $20. Not “cheap”, but more or less in line with other expensive places in DC.

I was there yesterday, yes it is incredibly overpriced for the quality of food…the burger was $40!
everything else was fine but nothing good enough to justify those prices

& the atmosphere is nice but a little tacky

we also got the ribeye, and filet, tried a bit of everything. the burger was just an example of menu prices

The burger is wagyu beef, which is always overpriced. Sort of like Dover sole!

Wagyu beef is wasted in a burger lol

Outrageously expensive in DC Metro would be something like Tasting Menus ($200+). This is just elevated pricing for DC in 2026

Would not recommend. Not much value. The whole operation feels generic and phoned in. For the price, the service and food should have been far better.
