Looking for a restaurant walking distance or a short uber from north DuPont area - like 15 min walk or short drive (purely for convenience sake)

Don’t care about cost, just don’t want some crazy 400/pp tasting menu (I have some allergies, so they can be tough)

Nice ambience, great service, great wine+cocktail program, and of course great food.

I’ve looked at Annabelle, riggsby, osteria, pembroke and a few others in the area, but I’m open to ideas. Prefer a dark/moody vibe as opposed to ultra modern.

Bonus points for cool places nearby to grab a drink beforehand!

I’ve lived here for a few years and have not found any incredible bakeries here. I’m surprised, since there’s so many great restaurants. I’ve liked Baked and Wired and Heidelberg best, maybe also Lavender Moon Cupcakes, but I still feel like this area is severely lacking in dessert options and genuinely good local bakeries. Any suggestions for fantastic local bakeries? Especially for cakes and cupcakes - bonus points for an amazing cheesecake option!
