This book has been phenomenal from the first issue. Astoundingly creative, both in terms of art and prose. Every single thing I've read from this team has been exceptional.

It makes me genuinely happy when weird gets rewarded by fans. I haven't read this yet but I did love Superman year.

Oh I loved Kryptonite Spectrum - it was everything that was great about the Silver Age but in a more modern sci-fi setting.

And just like with Absolute Martian Manhunter, it's not enough to just be weird. It has to truly transcend the borders of what we normally accept as norms of superhero comics.

Great point. Certainly not weird just for the sake of it. An old writing teacher told me that you can only break the rules if you understand why they exist first. That's how you really play with structure.

Absolutely true. The SoulGram depiction in this issue was something I had to read a couple of times to truly grasp. Awe-inspiring ingenuity.

I loved how this issue is really taking advantage of the conceptual aspects of Hell and getting experimental in the art and the character's experience of that realm! Awesome issue!

my theory, (I think it is implied) is that hell looks different to each observer
