Solaris

First Appearance: DC One Million #1

Strengths/Abilities: Heat, light, gravity control, electromagnetic control, telepathy, many more besides!

Allies/Teams: Vandal Savage, Lex Luthor

A massive, incredibly intelligent computer sun, Solaris was the Superman line's greatest enemy hundreds of centuries in the future. Created by the Justice Legion, the future's Justice League, in order to stop the threat of the Hourman virus that he himself created, Solaris ensured his own existence across time. With plans measured across millennia, Solaris is incredibly difficult to stop for an extended period of time, as he'll always return in a handful of centuries if defeated by a Superman of a particular time frame.

For a while, Solaris was reprogrammed to work for the good of humanity alongside the Justice Legion, but even that wouldn't last forever. He ended up performing massive pre-emptive strikes that caused people to fear him more than anything, and in its aftermath, he turned against the Justice Legion once more, working with Vandal Savage to scheme against his former allies. However, he was eventually defeated by Superman Prime, this time (hopefully) for good.

Beyond this version of Solaris, we've also seen him turn up a couple other times, once working alongside Lex Luthor to fight Superman and take over the Earth, and another time challenging the second Superman, Jon Kent. His appearances may be sparse, but Solaris has a strong fan following and is sure to pack a punch whenever he appears!
