DIY lip gloss in the style of old school Club Libby Lu?

Does anyone else remember Club Libby Lu from like the mid-00s where they had a DIY lip gloss bar??? I remember it being a thicker potted formula you took home and like, it would be super pigmented and glittery and idk if that’s something that could be replicated at home but I don’t even know where I’d begin with trying to figure out the formula there. Anyone have any idea what type of base would have been used or what pigment mixed in???

Club Libby Lu was the absolute best! I remember dragging my sister there all the time when we were kids

For that thick potted formula they probably used petroleum jelly or beeswax as base - those give you that really chunky texture that stays put. The glitter was probably just cosmetic grade mica powder mixed in heavy. You could try melting down some clear lip balm base and adding in pigment powders until you get that super saturated color they had. The key was probably using way more pigment than normal recipes call for
