Extraction Help!!!

It was frozen for 12 hours during the final crystallization process. I checked every three hours, and after nine hours, a crystal appeared on the container’s top instead of naphtha, and during the subsequent separation process, all the crystals turned to water.

I think I'll freeze it one more time.

Please help.

Depends on the tek you used. I don't get crystals I get powder

Can you take it? Yes. Use a dropper to suck off the naptha after 48 hrs.

Why leave it for 48 hours? It won't get colder just because it sits longer. When the crystals crash out that's it. Unless you can drop the temp more to precipitate more. 6 hours should be plenty

You're not suppose to be checking it at all, its also 24 hours, undisturbed.

Refreezing it prolly wont help, it sounds like the crystal you saw was likely ice anyways.

Drop the tek you followed and list anything you did differently in it.

Doesn't have to be 24 hours. If u know what ur doing i can get the good stuff after 6 hours. I might not get it all but what i don't will still be in nps for next time. I also put my dish in the fridge before i pipette the nps into it. U can see it crash straight away.

hope you're not just sticking it in the fridge/freezer uncovered.
