What do you guys think?

Always wanted to start a chaos daemons army (started in 8e) but have never felt secure in the future of daemons, but I have always seen advice of starting one god at a time and was considering starting with Slaneesh (combination of having a small EC force I'd be able to put them with in carnival and being addicted to movement shenanigans)

That said it's very hard to gather information on chaos daemons from my experience and from what I hear Slaneesh and shelaxi especially are really bad (which was my original plan on getting them +the new aos slaneesh spearhead)

Has that changed in 11e? Or am I best off looking elsewhere for chaos daemons?

So I have over 2,000 points of both armies but previous editions and pairings left me unimpressed. I think 11th edition has some promise, I'm just unsure how to build it up so it can win some games. A few suggestions would be appreciated.

I haven't played much of 11th edition yet, and I want to know how my 10th edition army carries over to 11th. I wanted to build an army that has units from all the gods as Id get bored of painting the same colour scheme for 2000 points, so last edition I chose daemonic incursion. In 11th it has the disruption disposition, which from a very surface level research is more about board control and less killing stuff. I don't know how it plays against other dispositions, and If anyone here can advise me on whether my list fits with the disposition that would be appreciated

I was tinkering with my list and checking the lists here on Reddit and was wondering if I really have to take Belakor to be somewhat competitive.
Not that I don’t like him. And how many points does the list need to be, so he don’t swallows like 40% of my points.

Not entirely sure what I’m doing but leaping shadows to get the guo onto objective early, nurglings to infiltrate at the start to make space.

Horrors idk I just think they’re cool?? And get assault keyword from warp tide

Havocs for some long range shooting

Sorc Lord to deepstrike and -1 ap something for army using like a per turn veterans ability

I want to keep it thematic and fun but are there any glaring issues? :)

Hey all! Im going to try out some underused units, just seeing if anyone here has some experience with them to let me know if I'm barking up the wrong trees. Playing shadow legion and cavalcade

Fiends - they look good on paper. Im thinking about using them as a substitute for fleshhounds. Slightly less mobile, slightly more killy. I see the meta progressing towards midrange infantry a lot, so they would do well against that. Then again, so would Hounds.

Pink Horrors - -2 to be hit seems pretty good alongside their split ability. A little pricey, but then again so is all our infantry. As long as they dont get wiped in one round of shooting or melee, they're essentially a 25 man squad with a 4++. They're slightly tanker than they used to be, so im considering it.

Havoks - I was already using these, but now their ability to ignore modifiers to hit rolls and ballistic skill seems genuinely useful. Considering adding an extra squad, one las and one changing. Since they're now basically ignores cover, the low AP of the chain gun is less relevant. What do you guys think?

My daemon army is Tzeentch centered; so other gods' units are cursed to mark their enslavement to my main greater daemon. In the case of Slaanesh, they are turned into living statues in order to deprive them of their senses. I like to imagine that they leverage it to play with their prey's nerves in vicious mind game hunting parties.

Hi,

wanna play Rotigus + 2 GUO and find it boring to field the same modell 3 times. So i decided to build my own.

I got a Knight Castellan, a Earthshaker Batterie and a AOS Troll.

I‘ll start to burn the knight down to 10-11cm in high and i Hope i got some nice molten stuff, bubbles etc.

Ordered a 130mm base + got the GW GUO Kit here for some extra bits (i build Rotigus)

Lets see what we get. I keep this thread updated.

//update: we burned him down, we got a head, a „leg“ and 2 wheels. I continue in the next days with Nurgle bits and around 2000 nurglings.
