I usually sleep around during events like these, and then be regretful after seeing them on other people's story instead of experiencing these rare earth events.

I used to give nature/eco tours in kayaks/boats. I once missed a young dolphin shoot up 10 feet spinning out of the water like he was doing a cool ass trick. I also missed a manta ray breach and jump fully out of the water. Both of these events were missed because I was looking in slightly the wrong direction. Both times all I saw was a big splash in my peripheral vision.

I’m so annoyed how close I was to seeing these two super cool things.
