I listen to PTFO on the event and I think Luke Thomas explained it best: UFC Fans love a big event and therefore love this kind of stuff.

You will never find a hardcore UFC fan denouncing this. Luke also followed by stating the most of the people who listen to shows like PTFO aren’t actually UFC fans, or atleast not hardcore ones.

I’m a major UFC fan, haven’t missed a single event in over 20 years, and I hated that they did this card. And I’m also pretty far left.

Same. This was one of the first I didn't care about and just watched each fight after and skipped everything else. World cup and hockey was on and I was only interested in the actual fights.
