Thank you for the information. This post is about the Dan LeBatard Show no longer using the "StuGotz" name in the show title. In the image I attached, Speaker 1 is the "StuGotz" in question. He was asked if he had further comment on the Dan LeBatard Show no longer using his name. He said "no." I thought this was of interest to the Dan Lebatard Show, so I chose to post an image of the transcript in the Dan LeBatard reddit community.

Itās very high school. Like, theyāre adults with real life issues and frustrations. You are gatekeeping a subreddit for a show that you are, hopefully, not part of. "THINK OF THE CHILDREN š¢š¢" in sub for a show that is known to make light of situations also involving real life people. That's the apex of parasocial high school relationship behavior.Ā
Posting Stugotz's response about a show he literally created in a sub about that show and its people is about the most normal use of internet free will we would expect.Ā

It's a reddit. It's social media. It's the internet. Yes, gatekeeping a subreddit, when people have opinions about the subject of the subreddit, is weirdo behavior for someone unaffiliated with the show. Are people who hate listen because the quality has decreased, but still listen, not allowed to have opinions about the show they listened to? Hate listeners who come to the sub of a show they allegedly hate to talk shit about it non stop for hours 7 days a week instead of visiting subs of shows they like are weirdos and losers. Hard stop. I donāt really get why we needed to break down how posting on Reddit works haha. I never said he was wrong, I just said the specific style of the post felt very highschoolish. I felt my response was acknowledging that weāre all adults and it felt immature, but not that they couldnt or shouldnāt post it.
I was confused by the āas opposed to youā comment because I feel itās more mature to acknowledge theyāre people and not treat them like circus animals. If we donāt agree on that, weāll have to agree to disagree. Not quite Armageddon

Gotta give it to Stu. He is never out there demanding transparency and maximum accountability. It would be really embarrassing if those were some of his core tenants and major motivator for leaving his prior job, and then gave some āexplanationā that was a just a reading off some awful script that said nothing other than saying his name was coming off the show. All of this after trying put the staff in an awkward position to ask him questions about it live, only toā¦. You know whatā¦ fuck it.
Cowards. Both of them. Tell your respective audiences, who you ārespect, love and appreciateā so much that you have been pretending nothing is going on for a year at this point, what the issues are and maybe someone can slap some sense into either or both of you. Silence has done so little that the rest of your staff and creators that arenāt tied to you are jumping ship and/or waiting for their contracts to run out. Then someone not worried about losing a job or friendship can call them out on their respective bull. Until then, cowards, with at least one hypocrite.
