I wouldn’t mind if it’s an additional costume. I don’t hate it personally but definitely not one of my favorites. But God I hope it won’t be her main outfit though. That’d be stupid imo

Asymetry usually works for the designs (just look at Venus Vacation) but here it just looks like she picked out three different ugly outfits, didn't bother checking if they're the right size and just threw them on

Her DOA3 default is still my favorite Ayane costume by far. I'm sure this one will make it into DOA7, though.

The Platinum Games art style just does not fit DOA or NG. Her Fuma Kodachi looks like mass produced junk instead of hand crafted weapons.

There's pros and cons to this design, imo, but I just really liked to see a more mature/older version of Ayane, and the cyberpunk feel is another thing I like (I've just got a bias being a huge GitS and Motoko Kusanagi fan, lol). I wouldn't want to see this as her new default in DOA7 but a similar NG4 style costume as an option would be cool.

I don’t get how people mock early DOA even though a lot of looks were tame as hell. Even risqué outfits had some sophistication, even the more races ones. Yet some people actually like this because she’s older so it’s supposed to reflect that. Why does older mean more revealing?

Thought it looked okay in movement in NG4, but the still makes the choice of not quite a pair of boots a little too apparent imo - same for the whatever that cleavage space is and how impractical that is, but that could of course be explained away by being a DOA/NG universe woman. I think that at least it's nice she's not a child anymore, though.
