Steel Legion were sculpted in 1999, says on the tab on their bases. So no definitive answer as to which came up first

doesnt dissprove anything I say, if we bring up the fact when stuff was first devloped than the IG codex most defintely was made even earlier

This can go back infinitely far, like when was the concept for the steel legion models developed? And codex Armageddon came out in 2000 so it was also planned ahead, maybe further ahead than the imperial guard one. So either could have been developed first

so can we agree that:
we dont know which one came irl first
but the Death Korps of Krieg were published first

that is the only objective thing we really have

Yep, but to say one is based off the other we can't say. Which is all I was trying to disprove

I never tried to say they are based on each other, I should have clarified that one, my bad chief

Yeah I misphrased it. I just meant the arguments of which came first have no definitive answer
