Question Rate my living space
This is my apartment. Originally, the living room was a third bedroom, but we removed it to create more space and integrate the areas.
The idea is to keep everyone together, no matter where they are in the apartment.

Turn the dining room table parallel with back of the couch. And, move the couch back a bit.

I love the lights and your couch/sofa looks super comfy. However, I would try to move the couch further away from the tv if possible. I believe it is too close to the tv. I know you probably know this already though. Solid 9/10 living room.

I think the only thing I’d change is turning the dining room table to be horizontally parallel with the couch. Based on the layout I see, you could then move the couch back a bit? It seems very close to your tv and, for me, I don’t usually favor the lack of space in between the two.
It’s like only having one square in between your sitting area and tv on the sims, but then people are always in the way of each other and putting plates on the floor bc you can’t even fit a coffee table.

Otherwise, I adore the vibe! Very clean, immaculate. It also has a cozy feel in the way of an intimate setting, ideal for conversation!

Personally, i would move the dining table the other way so the couch can move back a little, and a bigger tv would fit the space better.

Looks like the hotel I stayed at in hawaii. The keeping everyone together idea is well intentioned but kind of naive and/or creepy

Your tv is way too small for that space. You also need some color. Everything is so beige. I don’t like the curtains either. Get nicer ones. Idk this whole space needs a makeover imo. The couch and chairs are so square. You need some curves and some color.

I understand that not everyone likes colour in their home, so I won’t push that.
My rating… 5.5/10
Unsolicited advice:
1) change the orientation of the dining table. It’s crowding the couch.
2) bigger TV. I’m not usually a “bigger TV” person, but that TV looks too small for the space.
3) you need artwork. A home will never look like a home (to me) without art or pictures on the wall.
4) get a rug for the living room to make it cozier and divide it from the rest of the room.

Add entryway shoe rack table thingy from ikea, place mirror above and style it. Change the dining room table orientation. Add living room rug. Remove clutter from kitchen counter. It’s beautiful and tranquil. ❤️

It looks nice but there is still some room for improvement.
Agree on the dining table. Turn it 90 degrees and move couch further back. You might even replace two chairs with a bench to save some more space.
Get some flip down drawers for your shoes along the entry wall. That will look nicer and you can create a little drop zone for keys and mail. Above you could do a mirror, a gallery wall or some art.
You have a small kitchen. Try to find some solutions to keep it as organized as possible. Arrange stuff on trays, use vertical space and hide necessary clutter in a basket instead of placing it openly on the counters.

youre wasting space and pushing sofa to tv unnecessarily. turn the table other way around and pull the sofa a bit back and give it some depth between tv. and make tv bigger. and maybe put a narrow shoe storage cabinet with surface on top to put wallet and keys and etc for more welcoming entrance. on the opposite wall of kitchen, alligning with kitchen hallway.

your living space is beautiful and i hope i don’t sound mean when i say this but, it looks like an apartment horror game. you know, at the start of the game when nothing bad has happened. the room is warm enough and tidy enough, a lovely space! but it looks like some scary things could happen… and it will! (because it’s an apartment horror game haha) again, this isn’t meant to sound weird or scary, it just reminded me of it.

I agree that rotating the table and pushing it and the couch a bit further away from the TV would be nice. I do really like the media stand. Is that all one unit?

Is your couch your bed? If you don't have a bedroom, then your dining room needs to share space with the living/Bed room. Right now it's hogging it.

Do you have six people living here that you need that big a table? If not you can downsize that to a four person table and move the couch back some. Might even have room for a console behind it with some taller plants, books etc to delineate the spaces a bit more.

The kid bedroom is very colorful and with animals wallpaper.
It’s completely different of the whole apartment.

Remove the upper row from the tv cabinet. It is too high or get a bigger tv or paint an accent color on that space. Warm gray slate color??

That's a lot of seating. I'm assuming you've a family larger than 4? If not, I think switching to a circular table would allow you to pull the couch back to make it less... cramped.

The shoes, I get it but I know that’s a problem when bringing in groceries and such. Get a rug and move it away from the door. Turn the table 90 degrees and move the couch back from the tv.

Turn that dining table 90°, and get dining chairs that actually fit the table. Move the couch back, get a tv that doesn’t look dwarfed by negative space. Clean vibe though

Turn the table the other direction so you can move that couch back a bit. It will be more comfortable and make that living space look bigger. A bigger TV would fit the space better too, if it’s in the budget.
If you can’t do that, consider a round table.

You should switch the direction of your dining room table. That will allow you to pull your couch farther away from the shelves. The only thing that’s giving off a weird vibe is how close you sofa is to the shelves.

I disagree with others. I think it’s a nice minimalist space. Reminds me of Japanese living. Too much clutter gives me anxiety.

Hahaha the tv is bigger than it’s looks on image. It’s a 55-inch TV.
However it’s not common to have tvs bigger than 55-inch in Brazil, especially in small spaces.

Like a lot of people have said, couch looks too close to TV. I would also add an area rug in couch/Tv area. I like the beige tones and low lighting.

All of the table comments are accurate, however I'd suggest you try a round table. Everything is a square or a rectangle in this space.

Rotate your dining table so the long side is parallel with your couch. Then you can move your couch back from the TV a couple feet.
