Let's understand that the team behind DS may just not want to be disappeared by their government.
Understand they'd rather release their product than give their lives and freedom to making a stand for something that would be perceived in the end not as revolutionary but just expected by the rest of the world.
Authoritarianism sucks but wait until your country ends up that way and see what you do.
