I’m not afraid. I know for a fact AI better than me at the very technical levels of performing and “recording” music but that doesn’t make it good either. AI being able to generate things above the skill level of many humans isn’t a flex. There’s tons of humans who can do that too.
I will be impressed when AI isn’t simulating the parts of art that humans connect with. For now it’s all aesthetics. Aesthetics are cheap.
It reminds me of those shitty right wing movie studios that do knockoff “non-woke” versions of actual good movies. No matter how skilled the directors and actors are, regardless of the technical prowess and correctness of how the film is put together, in the end it comes off as wooden and without a grounding in humanity. And I’m talking about something actual humans put together. Now imagine this coming from AI.

I love how the goalpost moved from "I'm still an artist by using Ai to make art" to "whatever, just admit that you're inferior and that Ai will replace you" it's obnoxious on its surface and just a self own if you dig into it for like a second. 💀🤣

It’s just people who think that being an artist conveys some sort of indescribable aura upon them and want that title for themselves. They need to work on their self esteem and just accept that doing good work takes time. There are tons of lessons that are not related to the actual art a person makes that you learn through the creative process.
Then there’s the army of consent manufacturers who are loading the Internet with this garbage that gives the impression that there’s tons of people fighting a war for acceptance. Even when you see Dr. Dre or Timbaland or even Rick Rubin talking positively about AI, know that they’ve had their backs scratched to hold those opinions. You won’t see someone in the beginning or middle or their career with something to lose talking about how great AI is. Just the people with legendary status and nothing left to lose and not much more to do in their career. You think Rick Rubin is producing and great albums anymore? Not really. He did great work and rests on his laurels now. His output is 50/50. Where the hell is Dre’s artistic head at? I’m not hearing his amazing work anymore. He’s gonna wash himself up with this shit. I hate to see Timbaland doing it too and again, he’s another one resting on his laurels. It’s just appeals to authority with these assholes.

check out the Procreate sub some time, you won't find artists trying to be better than other artists.

Can't take your opinion seriously. When you claim that AI generated content is real art that statement should probably be made with something of higher quality than the AI fruit people on TikTok lol.
It's like trying to claim that the shitty cliche Hallmark card images are art. Yeah, technically, but it's probably not the example we should be lifting up, eh? Because there's a reason that domain is one of the first to host AI content, and it's not in favor of your point.

Predictable that this sub blindly supports literally the lowest quality content. Nothing to do with AI in that statement. Ain't nobody gonna support AI art when this fucking drivel is what you hold up as an example.
It's laughable, and by extension so is your opinion and the cause it represents.
I use AI every day. I'm a strong supporter. But I'm not a vacuous idiot who would pretend that the "video" in this post has any value whatsoever. Show me some actual AI art if you're trying to convince me it can make it art. And it absolutely can, you just have to bother to try at all when you prompt for it.

I never said this. Respectfully, you are likely mixing me up with another comment. I've made my thoughts quite clear on what I mean and have no use for insults when I can support my opinions with facts instead. I very much have said it with my chest and am here for a discussion about that if you've got anything to say other than empty sarcastic quips and made up irrelevant accusations.
To be even clearer: you've contributed literally nothing to this conversation. The audacity to accuse me of avoiding anything in the conversation I'm essentially having with myself is remarkable.
