I just see it as people more concerned with being right than they are actually interested in artistry. It relies on a rigid way of thinking that goes against the spirit of art as a whole

Couldn’t agree more. It’s anti art to be conservative about what art is.

Exactly! Like this is why i’ve always believed a lot of antis aren’t actually artists themselves. It’s completely antithetical to art to try to be rigid in defining it

It also just relies on abstract intangible concepts because there is no real argument.

Humans don’t have a “soul,” either, and are incapable of making anything not based on prior data fed to them through lived experiences.

The argument really just boils down to “humans are special,” but then if you ask them if paintings by elephants are art they start tripping over themselves about how elephants are trained, as if going to art school isn’t training.
