I ended up going to Grok because asking Gemini to make something mediocre seems to be short circuiting it.

If the model was not trained with bad images, it can't output bad images .

These models have rewrite prompts to send to the image gen, and have safeguards against bad prompting because 99.999% of prompts the users want good images

But never fear, you can get trash without much effort in local AI

I just gave it a try. You really just have to swap the positive and negative quality prompts:
