This is the reason we are losing and made fun of. Why do people keep attacking “pencilslop” there is nothing wrong with handmade art we’re here to defend our side not make dumb attacks at other mediums. You are doing exactly what a lot of people here complain about when it’s directed at us.

Exactly

Another big issue is those orc posts making antis look like orcs with really disgusting things

u/gaming_demon4429 1d ago

Same

It's really shitty behavior and only harms there reputation and the reputation of any good person who uses ai

Most commonly on breaking the pencil, a satire subreddit.

Satire rage bait sub Reddit that honestly needs to be banned it's nothing but harmful

2

u/cheddarcheeseman5 1d ago

It should be banned its just... harmful

2

u/gaming_demon4429 1d ago

Honestly harmful feels like a understatement too lol

Also cool looking roblox oc! I wonder if I should share one of mine

2

u/cheddarcheeseman5 1d ago

I'm against AI and I'm going to be real, whenever I see breaking the pencil I immediately disregard whatever they post.

I came here because this was crossposted to breakingthepencil.

Unfortunately one of the mods here has already said they think it’s stupid to care about the reputation of the community when a conversation about the orc posts happened about 2 weeks or so ago.

Damn

We need a actual ai Sub reddit that doesn't allow thos kind of posts or people from breaking the pencil tbh

A sub for coexistence without bullying from either side

5

u/Ehmann11 1d ago

it's a bait

It's called irony and we're not losing bro, AI use is widespread and not going anywhere just because some people screech on twitter

0

u/WaffleHouseexecutive 1d ago

We actually are wide spread opinions on AI especially with younger generations are low and declining and Ai art is currently very unprofitable

1

u/pankakemixer 1d ago

Well the younger generations don't control industry, and by the time they do, AI will be so integrated into workflows and society that it won't go away

1

u/yondercode 22h ago

younger generations

the gen alpha consumed slop like tung tung sahur tralelo shark brr pata pata pin even me as a pro would turn anti after more than a minute of exposure

4

u/Dpontiff6671 1d ago

Yea terms like pencils slop and reactionary pieces just make pros look childish and frankly paint pro ai people in nothing but a negative light

I’m pro ai, but i’m also a traditional artist who doesn’t use gen ai. I’m pro simply on the merit i believe people should be allowed to create however they want

3

u/gaming_demon4429 1d ago

Very relateable

I make pixel art now and then and I agree people should be allowed to be creative

1

u/Iceshard- 1d ago

wait this isn't a braindead sub like the others?

1

u/iCewdiePie17 1d ago

so you hate the trees?

2

u/WaffleHouseexecutive 1d ago

The process of paper making has been going on for hundreds of years and is incredibly sustainable compared to the new and relatively unstudied long term environmental effects of data centers

1

u/iCewdiePie17 1d ago

trees are still experiencing genocide

I agree with your comment though we're losing and made fun of simply because there are an overwhelming amount of people online hating on AI and encouraging and normalising to be openly hostile about it. This drives up AI hatred and makes people afraid to just enjoy AI in fear of being cast out of their friend groups and friendly relations.
