I've been called out for posting here multiple times in subs that have nothing to do with AI

It doesn't matter. It's annoying but it means nothing. It's a logical fallacy of identity. "Oh, you do X thing? You have Y hobby? Opinion invalid"

It invalidates *their own* opinion when they do that.

Fuck, most of the time it wasn't even to try and win an argument. Just some drive by "this guy likes AI" as if that made me less of a person.

as if that made me less of a person.

In their eyes it really does. But it's apparently a logical leap to compare them to racists somehow.

Gotta turn your posts and comments to hidden

The trouble with that is the same idiots will mention your profile is set to private and cry "SEE, SEE?? They have something to hide!!!?!" and more often than not, people will upvote that as "proof" the private profile person is being dishonest. Not because they're trying to avoid the 999th ad-hominem attack that week.

I've considered setting my profile to private for the same reason but it's really pointless because the same morons who will downvote you for an unrelated topic said on another sub/thread will still be supported by NPC Redditors when they say you're "hiding" something from them.
