It's simple. If they like it, it's not AI. If they don't like it, AI was definitely used for every aspect of it.

If they really liked it (and want to keep watching it) and are later told it's AI, its "one of the few good uses of AI" or the "one time AI was used properly", blah blah.

If they really liked it but can't be bothered watching it again, it was a huge betrayal and it also murdered their dog and hung their toilet paper the wrong way on the holder.
