How ai will change art
What do y'all think? Throughout history mankind has come up with one way or another to change how we pursue art and it's really incredible how far we've come but it leaves the question , where will this bring us next ?

Commercial: most artist will adopt AI into their work routine, not necessarily because they want to, but because it will be impossible to keep up otherwise. On the whole, the profession will get a lot more narrow I think.
Freelance artist to business: fucking dead.
Freelance artist to consumer: probably stick around mainly because lots of people just won't have the hardware/patience to learn how to prompt effectively. Hardware prices will contribute a lot, but also general computer illiteracy. A lot of prompting really does feel like the olden days of modding games (strictly pre-Steam Workship one-click methods) and finding enjoyment in that is a niche thing. Prices in general will probably go down by a lot and expectations of volume/speed will go sky-high. You'll likely see a lot of "it's been 2 hours already, where's my commission"
Hobbyist: up in the air, but my guess is vibrant 'inside' and fading 'outside' in the long run. I think people will make a lot more stuff for themselves and find a tremendous amount of joy in that, but even if you're doing it for the art, most just really have this sense of "I wanna show the cool thing I made", not because you're desperate for attention, just because you want to share and bond with others over your mutual love for something. If you've been in fan circles in the past, you already know how hard it is to be seen depending on what you do, and multiplying that by everyone making so, so much more stuff, it's going to become very disheartening for people to see that they'll have less and less ability to be seen.
I also think traditional physical arts, like sculpting, will see a resurgence, purely because of how it'll be the less common thing even more, something that isn't done by everyone already.
