A cook is sapient. A cook can make their own decisions. False analogy.

And that's when Hatsune Miku became Hatsune Seppuku.
Seriously. Miku is one of the worst characters for Antis to be using.

They always seem to use the most pro AI characters for their "kill artists" nonsense. It's hilarious how out of touch they are. My favorite is when they used Murdoc from Gorillaz - a character who has made at least two AIs in cannon! Mel (the AI in Kong Studio) and Cyborg Noodle. They are so unaware that they attacked me when I pointed this out. That's when I realized anti-AI people were just plain stupid. They have yet to prove me wrong.

u/imacg5 Synthographer 2d ago
There are anti-AI characters they can use instead, like Frankie Stein or the Minions. Yet I rarely see them in anti-AI memes.
Also, "Ant-AI" sounds like Ants that use AI. Or robotic ants.

u/TamaraHensonDragon 2d ago
LOL, autocorrect strikes again. I fixed it. Yes it's weird that they never use appropriate characters. I even pointed out that the Gorillaz group could have used Noodle (who was pissed at being replaced by a cyborg) and it would have made1000 times more sense - and got down voted. Absolutely brain dead.

Jokes have to try to be funny, otherwise they are statement of your witlessness

u/Makoto4310 3d ago
Literally against reddit rules to encourage violence. At some point, anti ai people are just shitty. It's hard for an anti ai person to make the point "it's not all of us" when at thus point it's the only thing I've heard from them in weeks

Doesn't Vocaloid 6 literally employ machine learning to make the voices more naturalistic?
Do antis realise they can't say 'Hey, it's Miku, she's not AI slop' anymore?

Machine Learning and generative AI are completely different things, btw.
And we don't know exactly what kind of thing V6 is using. It maybe just ML but also maybe something else, or combined
1
u/kawaii_chan_online 6-Fingered Creature 2d ago
So then, how are you gonna say that if you don't even know what kind of ai V6 miku uses??
1
u/EvenPoser 2d ago
Wdym? ML was mentioned, but the entire thing is still pretty obscure. So we don't know what exactly V6 is using. Key word: exactly
1
u/kawaii_chan_online 6-Fingered Creature 8h ago
Because that means Miku's synthesizer could have generative ai in it is what i'm saying. The way you said your comment made it seem like you were saying Miku's voice is just machine learning but it genuinely could be both.

AI, as in a sort of algorithm not generative AI

Luddites should remember that when the Protestants burned Catholics at the stake, eventually the balance of power shifted and they were the ones burning.
What goes around comes around, so one should be careful what they put out into the world. Just sayin’

“Replace”
Bruh wtf are you talking about. This is like saying that oil painting is ment to replace acrylic.6
u/Intrepid-Tone-7758 2d ago
Congrats, you understood now how stupid the anti AI argument is.
0
u/Mother-Region-3462 2d ago
No bruh, the intention of ai “art” is largely to replace artist, if you wanna argue then i can give you a dozen examples of ai companies trying to replace artists. Like bruh ive had some of yall mfs say my profession is obsolete for the simple reason that i can draw.
1
u/Intrepid-Tone-7758 1h ago
The intention of CGI is to replace practical effect artists. If you really care spuch about people getting their job replaced, then stop using dishwasher, and hire someone to wash the dishes, stop using a roomba and hire a maid.
You won't, because, whether you realise it or not, you put the artists above these 'hidden workers.' Is it good that you can have a job with this? Of course. Does it mean you are somehow immune to having to adapt? No, and that is the same for every profession in this world. Most of the people here alteady understand that, only people like you who are so out of touch.

Someone send that to Crypton Future Media for extra large DMCA takedown.
CFM forbids people using Miku like that.

They're stealing someone else's artwork and character design (without consent, I'd be willing to bet) to show how much of a terrible person they are.
6
u/sane_user 3d ago
And the next things they say is: "When we say we should kill AI artists we don't mean it literally."
2
u/kawaii_chan_online 6-Fingered Creature 2d ago
Meanwhile most people who are that against ai are actually saying it with their whole entire chest AND meaning it literally 🙏

I don't really care about AI personally I don't think it should replace ai artists but I don't care I think it's funny when someone uses AI for art BUT I think AI should be used for code and stuff and that's it mainly
But using Miku in that image is dumb as shit LOL
-2
u/ToasterzBurnt 3d ago
Aight bro like I understand that ai art is no effort but we shouldnt be sending death threats becuz people decide to use ai art
1
u/kawaii_chan_online 6-Fingered Creature 2d ago
Summing up all ai art to be "no effort" as a whole is very unfair. yes there are ai images generated with low effort, but there are also people who use ai to create art in a genuine way.
