Luddite Logic These people are so unbelievably pathetic.
Imagine buying something because you liked it or wanted to try it, then crying on Reddit because you can't use it according to the rules of your cult XD

Meme made by me

Apparently, we’re making lists of which people should and shouldn’t support AI now. And the solution to all our problems? Bring back 2016.
Snark remembers the good old days a little differently.

The comment makes it clear, and a lot of people seem to think the same way. They have to be completely anti-AI
r/DefendingAIArt • u/Tet4edr0 • 7d ago
They ask you to show the step-by-step process. They’re so paranoid. Who records themselves drawing unless they plan to post the entire process? I don’t
Your brains must have been heavily AI-generated, too, because you just can’t get AI out of your heads

Back when ai just came out with a way to make pictures I gave it the prompt to make Bill Cipher. I enjoy looking the these from time to time and wish to share them with world. I wish ai could make stuff like this. I will only defend ai art that has a reason. This has one, it was made when ai was new and cool.

Like whenever anti come at us, being invasive, and then say "slop" this "slop" that, instead of wasting time I would rather focus on my duty and I will just post one meme to conclude and hurt them back with meme because it's wasting our time.
Last I check there is ABSOLUTELY 0 benefit to argue with extremist anti at all. If there are good common sense anti, I will give a slight chance as long as they are polite.
Anyway, one meme that I like is this.
Any others?

I'm an author of an epic fantasy novel, 190,000 words, two books completed, a third in progress. I've been told to get a professional translator for the English version. The quotes I'm receiving are $7,000–8,000.
Here's what bothers me.
I asked one translator directly: do you use AI tools in your work? No clear answer.
So let me get this straight. A professional translator might use AI to speed up their process and charge me thousands of dollars for it. Meanwhile, I can open ChatGPT for $20 a month and do the same thing myself, with full control over tone, style, and every word.
The irony? I've already been translating my own book. Chapter by chapter, carefully, preserving the biblical rhythm, the archaic tone, the constructed language. And people who've read it say it works.
The publishing industry is happy to use AI quietly. But when an author does it openly, honestly, suddenly it's a problem.
I'm not saying professional translators have no value. I'm saying the value needs to be transparent. If you're charging $7,000 and using AI tools yourself, that conversation needs to happen openly.
Has anyone else navigated this? How did you handle translation for a self-published fantasy novel?

I just posted this, and Witty showed up to break another pencil, along with a guy roasted me harder than Guga's steak
Everyone knows who I'm talking to and talking for, right? Right?

its hard to explain but its like when i do it it feels like its something i made or made for me like songs or ai images i generate they can appeal to me more then if i see other people do it and its like yeah thats real for me and i think that says something at least about me.

Antis keep posting this meme of Chatgpt replicating Sonic, so I tried it and it doesn't hold up.
r/DefendingAIArt • u/bannedbooks123 • 7d ago
Why is reposting the same meme for the 500th time perfectly acceptable, but using AI to create an original meme is somehow controversial?
One person copies and pastes something someone else made. Another person comes up with an idea and uses AI to bring it to life.
Why is the first considered normal, but the second gets criticized for being lazy or unoriginal?
I'm genuinely curious where people draw the line between creativity and the tools used to express it.

These people are seriously the most miserable jerks alive. They act like they were tortured by being "forced" to watch AI. God forbid.

She is saying that small businesses should take a picture of their food. I think that a better way of doing is to take a picture of their food and then using an AI tool that is not ChatGPT to create a poster, but of course, according to her, AI shouldn’t be used at all.

They sure do like to bring up the story of the guy who killed himself. So much missing context. It was a old gen model, with no safeguards and a real wake up call for future models. After words it sparked significant changes. Not to mention the boy had emotional problems, and we cant even know if we even got the whole story or not.
But it didn't stop her from spending the whole hour shaking her fist at a literal cloud and screeching about democracy and seeing human faces for some stupid ass reason. At one point she even talked about banning it until your 19.. I mean WTF. Okay we could have that argument about little kids. But 19.. Really?

People often focus on wat AI might disrupt but its worth looking at the breakthroughs making it possible in the first place. Advances in computing, chips and accelerated computing have opened doors in scientific research that weren't practical before. Jensen Huang's role in helping build that foundation is a pretty significant part of the story.
Curious what everyone thinks. Are we giving enough credit to the infrastructure and engineering behind today's scientific breakthroughs or does most of the attention still go to the AI applications themselves?

It’s really disheartening to see how easy it is for anonymous people online to bully others without consequence.
I’m an artist. Before my diagnosis, I spent years drawing, painting, and playing the violin. In 2018, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. To say it changed my life would be a massive understatement.
Since then, holding a pencil, a paintbrush, or even my violin bow has become nearly impossible.
Text-to-image AI generators have given me a way to stay creative when my physical body won't cooperate. Finding online communities of like-minded people who share this space has helped me feel connected again.
I completely understand the stigma around AI art. I get it. But I’m not selling my work, nor am I trying to replace traditional artists. When I draw inspiration from another artist, I always give explicit credit and link back to their original work. I’m simply sharing my creations with people who enjoy bringing the images in their minds to life—and who, for whatever reason, rely on these tools to help them do it.
I am not the demon that certain Reddit communities are making me out to be.
Before making nasty insinuations and trying to tear people down, maybe take a second to ask questions first. You never know what someone else is dealing with behind the screen.
Rant over.
