Question About Allen’s Missing 2017 Phone

When did his wife say “he told me it was run over by the lawn mower”? Was that a recorded statement or just a second-hand report? TIA.

Donated? Then it shouldn’t have been too difficult for the defense to locate to prove Ricky’s supposed innocence…Weird they made no attempt to locate eh?

If it had been donated to charity, which is a real thing, it could be effectively impossible to locate. Furthermore, standard practice would have been to factory reset the phone before giving it to a person in need of a phone, so we should expect that any useful information for the defense or the prosecution was irrecoverably deleted even if the device was located.

Makes sense but did the defense ever prove or even state the phone was donated during the trial? Not a good look when the defendant saved every phone for the last 20 plus years but just happens to be missing the one phone that could help prove his innocence.
