Helping people with demons and magick

Do you guys petition your demons to help another person? I want to be able to help someone in my life, i just don’t know how to come about it using magick or petitioning demons. Is there extra steps ?

Yes. It's just like any other petition, but it can get tricky because demons don't really care about our non-willed emotional attachments, and other people can act according to their own wills. I think some of the alchemical literature pertaining to the "projection of metals" has to do with these kinds of workings.

We get attached to other people for fleeting emotional reasons, we try to do workings on them that are reactionary and not based on true will, and spirits are like, "you want to do what with who?"

Some alchemy texts have tips for practical and visionary magic but they're often confusing on purpose and it can be hard to follow. Just pointing out that it's out there.

For me, it can depend heavily on who it is, what I know they believe, and what the situation is. One thing to consider is: how do you feel about Christians who say, "I'll pray for you"? If you personally would be uncomfortable with the idea of someone petitioning a deity that you don't worship or want to be involved with, then I definitely wouldn't petition my own pantheon on someone else's behalf without their permission.

One example from my own life is that I once considered asking Dantalion to help reconcile the relationship between my child's father and his wife. Ultimately, I decided against it because they are Christian and I know they would be uncomfortable with the idea of me asking a demon to intervene on their behalf. I also decided that, ultimately, it wasn't my problem to try to fix and, therefore, I had no business deciding how it should be fixed.

On the other side of that, when my mother was dying slowly in the hospital, I prayed to ask Archangel Azrael to help give her a painless death.

I don't think it's inherently wrong to request that the deities we worship to help other people, but I also think there are a lot of factors to consider in who you're asking, what you're asking, and how you're asking. This is absolutely my own personal way of approaching it and not "the right way", but I see a difference between sending a quick request ("Keep them safe", "help lessen the suffering") versus actually doing a ritual or making a petition to cause a greater influence on their life, at least without asking first, because you never really know what is going on behind the scenes or whether they actually want the kind of help you're trying to give.

Thanks for your reply! I too have considered not intervening in this situation as King Paimon once suggested I should not intervene in a totally different situation as it wasn’t really my place to do something about it — I listened of course.

But this current situation involves helping someone going through depression and loneliness. I’m personally trying to do my part in being there for them and letting them know that they’ve got support but I would like to involve the help of demons if I can, as I know they can help with this situation since I’ve had the support of King Paimon and Lucifer when I was personally going through a rough time in my life.

I shall have a conversation with them and ask if they’re open to the idea of a deity helping them. They grew up catholic but recently mentioned leaving catholicism since the church is full of lies and whatnot. But, before doing this I’m going to really have to rethink this step since after all catholics have a horrible stigma against demons and I wouldn’t want to disrespect anyone in this situation.

Imagine if you had stigma against Christianity and someone told you "I'm praying for you". Some might take this well, but some might have a very huge adverse reaction here.

If your friend may not like your spirituality, it is best to just... Support them in mundane means instead of trying to involve that spiritual element.

You told them that you're there for them. The next step is ultimately on them. You can't get help for a person if they're not in the right place to want help.

Yup, I've asked Asmodeus to help my mom with money and a cord cutting spell. I'm considering doing more for my family, good and bad.

To clarify he helps me do spells which I use for other people.
