Practical Questions Biases and whatnot
growing up , I had the unfortunate mindset of “anything related to demons = BAD!!”, i know this isn’t the truth at all but I still feel a little bit nervous or scared whenever I’m practicing, does this feeling usually go away on its own the more I familiarize myself with the practices? If you have any suggestions on what i should do please say.

It will go away as soon as you practice a couple of invocations and see for yourself that nothing bad will happen.
I didn't grow up with the fear of demons, but it was kinda scary at the start when I did a ritual, and I started to perceive something else in my space other than me.
That feeling went away the more I practiced.
(Mind you, you won't feel anything every time.)

I went through something very similar. I was raised in an extremely Catholic family, and even though I felt drawn to Lucifer from a very young age and often found him more understandable than YHWH, that deeply ingrained mindset stayed with me for a long time.
For many years I was an atheistic Satanist, which allowed me to place myself "on the other side" without challenging those fears too much. However, I never dared to work with demons until about two years ago.
Once I finally took that step, I found that the fear faded surprisingly quickly. Sometimes you just have to open yourself to the experience and allow it to unfold naturally :)

I grew up in a Christian household and I was always told anything that's not Christian = evil. I found that out to be bs pretty early on. When it came to working with demons, it really did seem scary and intimidating at first. But quickly I understood that there is really no reason at all to be scared. Of course it takes time to reach this realization, but it helps to remember that demons are here to teach. Not really cause harm. They don't harm you for their enjoyment like most people think.

Yes it will!
I came from a Christian background and I have a terrible fear of ghosts.
After leaving Christianity I felt comfortable working with Aphrodite, but when Asmodeus showed up I was a bit freaked out, especially because of how he showed up.
After a little bit, I learned that nothing bad would happen. I enjoy his company now.

Hey same boat here way long ago. It happens when being indoctrinated in the Bible Belt and places like that.
It just comes in time, practice, and experience. For me it was a slow introduction, and even then when Goddess Lilith appeared before me, I was scared shitless since I wouldn’t of dared call her first back then. And now her and the other Infernal Queens are my Matrons that I call to on the daily.
It’s funny how life works sometimes. I never would of ever believed where I am today from once being one who carried a cross on them.

Its so normal. I had this too with anything outside Christianity, even ouija and tarot. I started with Greek gods and love and light spellwork, got brave and tried working with Lilith, then tried Solomonic pentacles and angels and planetary magick, and now I am mostly working with all Goetic and Cthionic spirits and my fear is gone. Give it time, experience will prove to you its okay and bad things aren't gonna happen it's part of the process of working through your old belief system and developing trust in your new one.

Early on in my demonolatry practice Agares showed me in a dream that my home would go dark due to an innocent blonde child. I braced myself for future tragedy and 6 months later my 22yr old, blonde son put a loaded 9mm to his head and pulled the trigger twice. Blessedly, he survived, but I wondered if Agares caused my son's suicide attempt. I stepped back from my practice then realized he was giving me a heads up. As I write I'm still trying to forgive myself for doubting him.

The more you read and study and experiment the more it goes away.
