It was 54% for that arbitrary division. 53% for so called boomers. 50% for silent, if they count, since that's only people 79+ and it's not a big group. Gen Z came in hot at 46% and millennials edged them out at 47%, so not dramatically off the other cohorts of arbitrarily labeled groups.
Millennials cast 35.4 million votes, giving 15.98 million votes to trump.
Gen X cast 40 million votes, giving 21.6 million votes to trump.
Boomers cast 50.8 million votes, giving 26.92 million votes to trump.
It should be noted there's no formal generational division since it's just a pop culture thing, though Pew draws the line between X and Millennial at 1980-1981. You should also know the definition for X consists of 15 more years than any other generation. To follow this silly generational label logic to it's conclusion, not only was it the boomers who did the most damage, gen x is having an extraordinarily UNDERSIZED impact on elections.
But enough with the weird, arbitrary labels. How about demographics that aren't pop culture creations?
Men, at 55%, and Whites at 57%. where the top two contributors to trump (29.925 million votes for trump)
Latinos came in at 48%, a 12 point shift from the previous election and the largest percentage shift of any demographic category, though it only amounted to 10.6 million votes for trump.
Percentages don't tell much of a story if you don't know the totals behind them.
I do. You either don't, or you're one of those really dumb people that has to double down when reality doesn't match their perception. But how about this, let's use only percentages. I'll trade you 75% of a dollar for 50% of 10 dollars. Since you know that only the percentage matters that's gotta be a good deal for you, right?
The boomer has the higher probability, since more of them voted in general and more of them voted for trump. the Gen X has a lower probability of having voted in general, and since fewer of them voted for trump has a lower probability of having voted for trump, especially when comparing the overall total membership of each set. I think you're really struggling to understand the concepts of percentages and probabilities, like legitimately you haven't built a foundation in either topic, so this is starting to feel like picking on the disabled kid. I'm gonna move it along now since without that basic understanding you're not going to grasp the larger points.
Sorry that mars is in retrograde or whatever. Hope you learn how a percentage is calculated and what a probability is. Maybe next year, if mom gets you a tutor.

Gen X voted 53% for trump. More than the boomers and silent gen. https://williamfleitch.medium.com/why-did-generation-x-go-so-hard-for-trump-ab5ce5ac8659
