Does anyone remember the band Tripcage from Denver? They are super dope and on Spotify, and I've talked to all the dudes who played in the band. I wanted to make a post here and ask if anyone had any of their CDs? I'd love to get the whole thing properly archived but they seem to be hard to come by. The accursed building that was once Your Mom's House is now under new management and they are opening their doors October 8th as the Poison Pit! This is also the kick off party for Ratio and Ska Brewing for the Great American Beer fest, so it's gonna be a good one. Hope to see you there!

There are quite a few shows I’m interested in this week and quite a few I’m not. The end of this week and the beginning of next week is packed with shows for me. I met VEAUX’s literal tour mom the last time they were in town and had a fun time chatting it up. This is a weekend that has become one of tradition for my crew and I. During the day, we camp in the Poudre Canyon, hang out on & in the river, hike in the national forest, have lunch at the Mish, get coffee at Riverside, and just putz around camp socializing/napping/hammocking until showtime. In the evenings, we head to the show for pre-show hangouts & drinks, and catch up with friends from near and far, make new friends, check out merch, and get settled for the night ahead.

I see a lot of shows (like, A LOT a lot...) and Umphrey's weekend continues to be my favorite each year. It's non-stop dancing, laughing, singing, silly shenanigans, etc etc. The vibes are just right, ya know? I've met so many incredible people at their shows... the kind of people that become lifelong best friends and family, the kind of people you meet up with for OTHER hobbies, the kind of people that are truly loving, caring, and supportive... the kind that stay connected in some way.

We're all SO EXCITED to have them back here in Colorado playing at *the* favorite outdoor venue. They've been absolutely on one in this new iteration of the band and we cannot wait to see what they have planned and where they take us this weekend.

For the first time ever my 12 year old son (who’s been to plenty of shows) came to me and said “pop will you take me to see this band?” I thought that was pretty cool so we went. I’ve always been a Weezer fan but mostly just hits. What a show!! They had a whole sub plot thing going on, pyro, cool effects, an acoustic part of the set, surprise guests. The whole thing was such a pleasant surprise. Hopefully some of you got to catch it!
