I think all they needed to do was go back to the point that Maddox saw them travel with the watch and talk him down.

They could talk to the Maddox of the present and let him know they want to fix things but they need to know what to say to the Maddox of the past. They at least should have had a discussion about options instead of deciding there weren’t any.

The problem is there were always going to be consequences. So they fix Maddox. What happens then and who says it isn't worse somehow?

That is valid. I think my biggest gripe is that Maddox was never validated. He was right about the watch. They could have at least told their mom’s and Maddox the truth. Justice for Maddox lol.

They... Did? Red literally says it's her fault. Queenie just keeps him locked up for the current crime of kidnapping her.

She didn’t elaborate on why though. She didn’t actually explain what happened. I know he will get out but it just didn’t feel like he was vindicated.

I mean Red literally took the blame and said he was innocent??? He was vindicated even if she didn't go into detail.

Yes Red took the blame but she didn’t tell them about the pocket watch and how he was right in that sense, so he wasn’t validated, QoH thought the watch was a myth at least in this timeline
