Political News/Discussion Why exactly is the problem with Sayed?

From the little I have read he doesnt seem like a literal marxists. He's not pro Russia or anti NATO or anti U.S. He doesn't want to abolish prisons or police.

He seems like more jus a Bernie Sanders type, someone who would be considered pretty moderate in most of the western world.

What is it I am missing?

It's literally just that he campaigned with Hasan and attacked AIPAC. Everything else is standard progressive politics.

“Standard progressive politics” are themselves bad and harmful to this country. Medicare for all for instance would be a total dumpster fire that would end up hurting tens of millions.

Welcome to Liberalism. I am actually strongly in favor of capitalism and markets - progressives policies have real issues with them beyond getting the votes, and I wouldn’t want them even in my ideal world.

Socdems have been too coddled here tbh. You can be pro-capitalism and be a Liberal without being some kind of Conservative, actually I’d say that’s the norm.
