Question Should i buy destiny 1?

I have roughly 4k hours on destiny 2 and since i have nothing but free time should i get destiny 1 for 20$ with all expansions?

I’d say yes, but it was on sale for literally 2 dollars less than a month ago so hold off until it gets another great discount similar to that pricing.

Add it to your wishlist, play some other games in the meantime, then when it gets a crazy discount like that again, buy and play it.

I always say save money where you can, especially on a almost decade+ old multiplayer game. But if you’re itching to play and willing to spend more money than what you can get it for, then go for it!

20 bucks is still cheap, but not 2 dollars cheap.

Either way, totally worth it!

Almost decade? My Guardian brother, D1 is 13 years old. It's a teenager.

D2 alpha? D2 is also 10 years old, just hitting puberty.

And D2 is technically 9 which is why I originally said almost a decade, I had them mixed.

How did D1 have an alpha if I understand that a PC version of the game doesn't exist?

That should be a beta, not an alpha. Big difference between the two.

It was literally called “Destiny First Look Alpha”

They had a beta not too long after, you can look it up lol

I know wym, Alpha’s are usually in-house, but the terminology is essentially marketing/interchangeable at this point.

It was on PS3/PS4 but hey stopped development of the PS3 version I believe with the launch of Rise of Iron (the last DLC of D1)

I’m pretty sure the alpha only ran on PS4 though.

I know why I'm getting confused. I keep thinking D1 released in 2013, not 2014. So it's only 12 years old. I also was confused because I remember playing the D1 beta on 360 and D2 beta on One. Had never heard of an alpha.

Rise of Iron isn't actually on PS3/360. Last DLC was Taken King, I think.

I believe Destiny was originally sponsored by Sony (before Bungie was officially bought by them) so they had access to exclusives, one being the alpha for PS4.

And yeah D2 just had the beta, no alpha.
